The word yoga originates from the ancient Sanskrit language meaning "to unite." It is the union of the body, mind, and spirit, the oneness with ourselves and this integration into daily living. All a preparation for meditation, various postures, flows, and breathing techniques are used to strengthen, tone, balance, relax, and unite for wholeness and healing.

Over the last twenty years, Dawn's yoga studies have included Astanga, Bikram, Kripalu, and Kundalini yoga. With students of all ages, classes range from gentle recovery yoga to more vigorous sports-training yoga. Many classes at several locations are on-going, as well as those at Yoga in the Woods. Private, small group, and corporate stress-reduction classes are also available.

Along with the enjoyment of teaching yoga, Dawn is also a mom, singer, and massage therapist.
